www and the Bare Domain Should Open the Same Shop

The address written with www and the bare address should open the same shop. One should go to the other. The map and the card should use the main address you chose.

One person writes the address with www, and another does not. Both should open the same shop. If one opens and the other stays empty, the shop looks split in two. If one shows the old site and the other the new site, the prices split in two as well. The choice is simple. Make one the main address, and send the other to it. The door that is sent enters the same room as the main door.

1. Choose the main address

Choose one of the two forms and stay with it. Let the same writing stand on the card, on the map, in the signature, and on the site. Do not change the choice every season. A main address that changes breaks saved links. The form you choose should be short and sayable. If you have to say www on the phone and people write it bare, make the bare one the main. Send the one with www to it. The form people already write is the main form. Your preference should not stand in front of their habit. The habit is the name of the door.

2. Send the other to the main address

Let the sending be quiet. When a person taps, the main page should open, and no warning should appear. A warning is taken for a broken site. The sending should work on every page. A setting that works only on the home page and stays empty on the price page loses the person who is looking for the price. Both addresses should open with a locked connection. If one gives a warning, the lock is missing on that address. Have the missing lock finished that day. An address that stands open with a missing lock is enough to make a person turn back. A person who turns back may not try the other form.

3. The same shop should appear on both

If the sending is not working, the two addresses should not stand as two separate sites. The same text, the same price, the same hours. Different hours are a different shop. An old trial page may have stayed under www. Close it, or send it to the main page. A trial page carries a half sentence and an old price. A person takes it for real. A trial taken for real breaks the word at the counter. Once a month, open both forms. See that you land on the same page. If you do not, correct it that week. A split that stays open for a month spreads to the map as well.

4. The map and the card should write the main address

The site box on the profile should carry the main address. The card should print it too. The link in WhatsApp should be that one. Writing three forms in three places leaves it unclear which is right. The right one is the main address you chose. The other form is only a door. Do not print the door on the card. The card writes the number of the room, not the number of the side door. Old cards walk around in hands. If the form on them is the other one, the sending saves that card. Use the main address on the new printing. Do not forbid the old printing. The sending does the work of the old printing.

5. Try the change once

From your own phone, type both forms. Both should open the same page. Have someone you know type it as well. Your phone may remember one of them. A remembered page makes you think it is working. The page that opens on another phone is what the street sees. Say the form that does not open, that day. Waiting a week without saying it sends the person who typed www that week to an empty screen. An empty screen is taken for a shop that is shut. A shop taken for shut misses the sale even when it is open.

This evening, open both forms on the phone. See whether they are the same shop. If they are not, send the other to the main address. Also see whether the box on the map and the writing on the card show the main address you chose. If they do not, correct that the same evening as well.
