The Legal Name Belongs in the Footer

The name on the sign and the name on the tax record should sit together in the footer. They should match the invoice, and they should appear on every page.

People know you by the name on the sign. The invoice is cut in the name on the tax record. If the two differ, the site does not know which one to say. The footer is the place that stands at the bottom of every page. Both names are written there. One is the name the neighbourhood knows, the other is the registered name. The invoice should carry the same registered name. An invoice that does not match pulls down the word of the site.

1. Write the two names side by side

If the sign says Kemal Usta and the record stands in your given name and surname, put both. Kemal Usta, registered name as follows. A person should find you whichever way they search. The sign name alone leaves empty the person who is looking for the invoice. The long registered name alone misses the search in the neighbourhood. Let both stay short. Write the registered name in full, as it stands on the tax plate. Do not shorten it. A shortening causes a mismatch in the bank and in official letters. If there is a partnership, write the partners' names in line with the registration. If you are one person, write one person. An addition that looks like a company shows a structure that is not there.

2. The address should be the shop's address

The address in the footer is the door where the shutter opens. If the home address is separate and the work does not happen there, write the work address. If you cannot write a work address, say that honestly. Do not invent an address in another city. An invented address argues with the pin on the map. If the pin shows one door and the footer another, the person walks to the wrong place. The district and the neighbourhood should match the sign. If you know the postal code, add it. If you do not, leave it empty. Do not write a wrong code. When the address changes, the footer changes that day. If the old shop's address stays on the new site for another month, the parcel goes to the old door.

3. The invoice and the footer should carry the same name

The customer compares the invoice with the site. If another name is on the invoice, the payment hesitates. On a job that asks for a transfer, the registered name, the name on the account, and the footer should all three be the same. If one differs, the person thinks the money went to the wrong place, or does not send it. If the registered name changed, update the place where the invoice is cut first, and the site the same day. Do not keep cutting invoices in the old name for another week. If an old invoice sits beside the new site, it becomes unclear which period is in force. If you do not have to put the tax number in the footer, do not put it. If you do, it should be the same number as on the invoice. Two numbers are taken for two businesses.

4. Let it stand at the bottom of every page

The footer should not remain only on the home page. The price page, the menu, the contact page. The same line at the bottom of each. A person sees the price, goes to the bottom, and reads who said it. If a page closes before the bottom and the name is missing, the word has no owner. The line should not be crowded. Name, registered name, neighbourhood, one way to get in touch. The way to get in touch should be the way that already stands on the site. Do not invent a new number. When the language changes, the registered name is not translated. It stays as it is, and the sign name beside it stays as it is. A translated registered name does not match the invoice.

5. Compare it with the plate once a year

Once a year, set the tax plate beside the footer. Look letter by letter. If one letter has slipped, correct it. Take off the site a title that is not on the plate. Words such as master, chamber, or authorised should stand only if you truly are that. If you are not, the sign name is enough. If the plate was renewed, check the address on the new plate as well. The address may have changed on the plate and stayed old on the site. This check takes a short sitting. A short sitting costs less than a wrong transfer and a wrong door. Have the apprentice learn this line. The name they say on the phone should be the name in the footer.

This evening, go to the bottom of one page. See whether the name on the sign and the registered name sit side by side. Compare them with the writing on the invoice. If one differs, correct it that evening. Tomorrow, the person who is asked for a transfer should see the same name in all three places.
