Read Your Profile Insights Once a Month
The profile counts a few plain things. Never looking means you repair the wrong part. Looking every morning turns a quiet Tuesday into a panic.
The profile counts a few plain things. How many people saw you, how they searched, how many called, how many asked for directions, and how many tapped the website. Never looking for a year means you repair the wrong part. Looking every morning turns a quiet Tuesday into a panic. A carpenter saw calls fall in a month when views did not. The website link had been dropped during an edit. He put the link back. He did not buy a new sign. The notebook stopped him from fixing the wrong thing. One sitting a month is enough. A rival's screenshot is not your measure.
1. Sit down once a month and write four numbers in the notebook.
Views, calls, direction requests, website taps. Four lines are enough. A long report pushes the sitting into next month.
2. Compare the measure with your own previous month.
A rival's frame is not your baseline. Their district, their van, and their hours are different. Your own notebook describes your own door.
3. If calls are many and direction requests are few, people may want you to come to them.
Look at the service area and at the sentence that says you visit. If the area is swollen, the call is coming from a far district. If the area is right, the sentence is not plainly saying that you come.
4. If there are direction requests and no calls, people may be finding the door and walking in.
Make sure the pin is on the right door. A wrong pin ends the route on the next street. The person walks, does not find you, and does not call.
5. If website taps are almost none, the link is missing, broken, or the site says something else.
Open the link from the profile yourself. If it does not open, fix it that day. If it opens but the hours clash, the tap is wasted.
The month the carpenter put the link back, the calls recovered. The sign stayed the same. The notebook showed that the fall was a break without an advertisement. The next month he wrote the four numbers again. The break did not repeat.
Keep the notebook in the counter drawer, not in a note that vanishes on the phone. On the first Monday of each month, write the four numbers and put one sentence beside them. The link dropped, the area is wide, the pin slipped. Without the sentence the number stays a decoration. If website taps are zero for three months in a row, the link is still broken, so do not print a new leaflet. A leaflet does not repair a broken door. Open the door first, and think about the leaflet after. Read the numbers to the apprentice as well. If the apprentice sees which door is stuck, he does not paint that door for nothing. One sitting a month repairs more than a daily fuss.
