A marketplace commission and your own customer list

A marketplace can bring the order and still keep the customer. The commission is the rent for that introduction. Your list is the names you can write to next season.

A marketplace offers a crowd that does not walk past your door. An order arrives, you prepare the parcel, a commission is taken. That arrangement is useful for emptying a shelf. The same arrangement may not hand you the customer's name. Next season the same person passes through the marketplace again and does not remember your page. The commission is the rent for that introduction. Your own list is a notebook of names, jobs, and permission. Mixing the two is like paying the rent and leaving the key with someone else.

1. The marketplace brings the order and does not always leave the customer

You see a name in the inbox. That name may not have been given so you can write to the person later. The platform's rule is built to keep the person inside itself. You send the product correctly, you receive a rating, and the next order drops from the same place. This is not a bad road. Delivery and returns are already arranged there. What is missing is a line that lets you say, next month, that last winter's tyres are due a look. Without that line, every sale starts again with a commission.

2. The commission is the rent for the introduction

You pay the rent because the crowd also walks outside your neighbourhood. Hiding it, or being angry that it "should be free", bends the account. The real question is what remains in your hands after the rent. If only that day's taking remains, the list has not grown. If the parcel carries a slip in your shop's name and the address of your page, the person can ask you directly next time, if they want. There is no forcing. A plain card in the parcel is enough to say they can also look here next time. If the card asks for something the marketplace forbids, do not put it in. The information that is allowed is your shop's own name.

3. Your own list is the names you can write to next season

A list is not a pile of random numbers. The name of the job, the rough date, and whether the person wants to be written to again sit side by side. Someone who does not want a message does not receive the season note. Someone who does receives a short sentence when that job actually comes around. Cooling is remembered in summer, tyres in winter, moves in particular weeks of the month. This reminder does not depend on your rating inside the marketplace. It is your relationship. The list should live in the panel, not disappear inside the chat of one phone. If the phone changes or a staff member leaves, the names stay.

4. A slip that carries only your name starts the list

When the customer opens the parcel, they see the marketplace envelope. If your short name, your district, and your page are inside, a second door appears. That door does not steal today's order. If the person was satisfied, they think of you when the next need comes. If they were not, the card will not save it. So do the job properly first, then show the address. An empty page makes the card useless. If the product or the service is not on the page, the visitor returns to the marketplace.

5. Use the marketplace for reach and the site for the relationship

You do not have to declare the two enemies. The marketplace carries the first parcel to someone who has never heard of you. The site is the place that remains after you know the person. Trying to pull every order onto the site both strains the rule and spends the day. Instead, write the customer who walks into the shop onto your list from the start. Also add the person who came from the marketplace and opened the address on the card themselves, if they wrote to you. Then the commission is paid for a new door. The old door stays in your notebook.
