Call, Write, or Get Directions

Do not put contact us on three buttons. Choose the one movement that matches how you work: call, write, or directions.

The button on the page should name the one movement the customer will make. The mistake is to put three buttons side by side: contact us, get in touch, learn more. Those three carry the same vagueness and the person does not know which to press. The fix is to make the movement you actually answer the single main button. For a roofer who is on the roof all day, that movement is write, because he cannot look at the phone at that moment and he reads the message when he comes down. Call stands for an urgent leak that is coming through the ceiling, and the line says you may be on a roof and will call back when you are down. Directions, if there is a yard where people bring tiles, is a small text, not a third equal button.

1. Choose the main button from the way you work

If you look at the phone all day, the button says call, if you read messages in the evening, the button says write, and if people come to the workshop, the button says directions. The mistake is to give all three an equal place. The fix is to make one large and the other, if it exists, a small text, and for the roofer the large one is write, while call stands smaller and apart, for when water is coming through the ceiling.

2. Let the word on the button name the movement

Contact us is a phrase that does not tell the person whether they will call or write. The mistake is to leave the template's ready-made button as it came. The fix is to put call, write, or directions on the button, one word is enough, and under it you write when you look: we read messages when we come down from the roof, we do not read them at night.

3. Keep the urgent leak in a separate sentence

The same button does not fit every job, and if water is coming through the ceiling, writing is too slow. The mistake is to bury the urgent leak inside the write button. The fix is a short line beside the main button: if water is coming in, call, we may be on a roof and we will call back when we are down, and this line does not open a second large button, it says when to call.

4. Do not make directions an equal button

If there is a yard, people leave tiles there, and a large button is not required for that. The mistake is to make directions the same size as call and write, a trio, and to leave the real movement unclear. The fix is to put directions as a small word beside the address line, the map opens when it is pressed, and the main button remains write.

5. Actually do the movement you promised

If the button says write and you do not look at messages for two days, the button is a lie. The mistake is to put write because it looks tidy and then never open the phone. The fix is, in the week you add the button, to do that movement for real, you read the message the evening you come down and write a short reply, and if you cannot look, you make the button say call, and the page should describe your day.

A concrete arrangement can stand like this. The large button says write. Under it, it says we read messages when we come down from the roof and give a short reply the same evening. If water is coming through the ceiling, call, we may be on a roof and will call back when we are down, and that line is smaller. The way to the yard stands beside the address as directions, and there is no third large button. The visitor sees one movement and knows when that movement will be answered.
