Move the Card Address onto the Site

If the card has a street and a door, the city alone on the site is not enough. Copy the line as it is printed. Do not pin a home customers should not visit.

The address should stand on the site the way it stands on the card. The mistake is to print a street and a door on the card and only the city on the site, or to put the map pin on a home you do not want customers to visit. A person looks for the line on the card, and if they cannot find it on the site they go to the wrong place. The fix is to carry the line over as it is: street, door number, district, city. If people come to the workshop, the hours stand beside the address. If you go to the customer's home, say so and do not pin a private home. Two different addresses look like two different shops. When you reprint the card, print the same line as the site.

1. Copy the line in the order on the card

If the card runs street, door, district, and city, the site should run in that order, and do not shorten it. The mistake is to drop the street and write only the district. The fix is to put the card on the table and carry each word across in the same spelling, and if the card says the market street the site should not say a shopping street, because the visitor types the word that is printed on the card.

2. Put the workshop hours beside the address

Even with the right door, a person who arrives when you are shut has travelled for nothing. The mistake is to bury the hours at the bottom of another page. The fix is to write opening and closing just under the address line, say the midday break if there is one, and if Sunday is closed write that Sunday is closed, and if the card still shows an old hour correct the card as well.

3. If customers do not come to the home, do not pin the home

If the job finishes at the customer's home, a workshop address may not be required, but the floor where you live is not a customer address. The mistake is to leave the map on the door of the home. The fix is to write on the page that you come to them and not to place a pin, the area line says which districts you visit, and the doorbell stays private.

4. Do not leave two numbers and two streets side by side

If the old shop's street is on the back of the card and the new street is on the site, the person is stuck between them. The mistake is not to delete the old line after you have moved. The fix is to leave one street, throw the old card away or write the new line on the back, and let the pin on the map point at the door of this street, with no second pin left standing.

5. When the address changes, change the site the same week

In the week of a move, if the card is new and the site is old, the first visitor knocks on the old door. The mistake is to put the site off until the end of the month. The fix is to change the address line and the pin on the day you take the key, printing the card can take a few days, the site can change the same day, so the site should be right before the card.

A concrete move can stand like this. The card has the market street, the door number, the district, and the city. The site has the same four parts in the same order, with no shortening. Under them are the weekday hours and the note that Sunday is closed. If the customer comes to the workshop, the pin is on this door. On a job where you go to the customer's home there is no pin, and the districts you visit are written instead. The old street remains neither on the card nor on the site.
