Put a Booking Link on the Profile

A booking link promises a person can ask for a time without starting from zero. A dead page breaks that promise in one tap.

A booking link promises that a person can ask for a time without starting from zero. If the link opens a dead page, a photo album, or a form with twenty boxes, the promise breaks in one tap. A barber had tied the button to the door of his photo album. People saw hair and could not choose a time. The page the button opens should name the service and ask for a day and a way to reach them. The link on the profile and the link on the website should be the same address. Two doors mean two diaries. If you do not take times online, do not call the button booking.

1. Let the link open a page that names the service and asks for a name, a day, and a way to reach them.

Haircut or beard, which day, which number. Three questions are enough. Twenty boxes leave the person on the pavement halfway through.

2. Use the same address on the profile and on the website.

Two separate diaries produce a time written twice. One fills up, the other still looks empty. The customer enters the door that looked empty and meets a full chair.

3. If you do not take times online, do not put the word booking on the button.

If a call or a short message is enough, the link should say that plainly. Writing booking and then saying call us breaks the promise in the first line. An honest label brings more work than a decorated one.

4. Test the link on the phone's own line, not on the shop cable.

A page that opens on the shop network may not open on the line in the street. On your own phone, one street away from the shop, press the button. If the page does not open, the customer cannot open it either.

5. If the diary is full for the week, write that on the page.

An open button that always answers that you are full trains people not to tap again. Do not hide a full week. Show the next open day of the following week on the same page.

The barber now uses a short page. Hair or beard, a day, a phone. The same address sits on the website. The album door is gone. People tap to leave a time, not to look at hair. The full days are written on that page. An empty chair and a full chair no longer get mixed.

Open the link yourself once a month. If it goes to an old form, correct the address. If the page shows another barber's name, turn the button off that minute. When a new chair starts, show that person the same address. If the new chair puts up a personal album, two doors open again. One door, one diary. If the diary is the paper on the counter, the page should be a copy of that paper. A day that is full on the paper should not look empty on the page.
