A Clear Photo Is Enough

Do not hold the page because there is no drone video. One clear frame in daylight, with the job filling it, and a caption, is enough. Video comes later, and only if something moves.

The page should not stay shut because there is no video. The mistake is to think you cannot show the work without a drone, a sliding picture, or a long take. A customer looks at one frame on the phone screen and does not watch a video to the end in the street. The fix is to put one clear frame in daylight, with the job filling it, and a caption that says the job. A weld, paint, a cabinet, or the set of a seal can be understood in that frame. Video is needed only when the movement itself is the work, such as a garden gate that opens. That too can be shot later, on the phone. The page opens with the frame.

1. Shoot the frame in daylight

An evening bulb yellows the colour, a flash burns the near part, and daylight shows the joint and the bead as they are. The mistake is to make do with the workshop's single lamp and to open the page with that frame. The fix is to bring the work to the window or to the front of the door, a cloudy day is fine, as long as the light is not hard from one side, and delete the frame that shook.

2. Let the job fill the frame

A room shot from far away leaves the work small and describes the empty wall. The mistake is to try to fit everything into one frame. The fix is to bring the phone closer to the work: the cabinet door, the edge of the seal, the line of the bead should take most of the frame, and the clutter around it stays outside the frame.

3. Let the caption say what was finished

If the frame stands alone, the person guesses what they are looking at. The mistake is to write quality workmanship under it. The fix is one sentence: the kitchen door was changed and the carcass stayed, or we renewed the seal and the cabinet is the same, so the frame is tied to a claim and a video does not take the place of that sentence.

4. Save video for a job that needs movement

If a garden gate opens, one frame can show it open and one can show it shut, and video is useful only to show whether the movement catches. The mistake is to require a video for every job. The fix is to be content with a frame on most jobs, and if a video will be shot to hold the phone steady and keep it short, a drone is not required, and sound and music are not required either.

5. Do not hold the page because a frame is missing from a set

If you have one clear frame, the page opens, and ten frames and a film are not waited for. The mistake is to delay publishing so that a gallery can fill up. The fix is to open with one frame and a caption, and to add a second frame from the next job, and the video may not come that month at all, and the page can still be called.

A concrete opening can stand like this. In daylight a kitchen door fills the frame, the edge band is visible, and there is no filter. The caption says the door was changed and the carcass stayed. There is no video. If a garden gate is a separate job, its opening can be added later as a short phone take, and the page does not wait for it. The customer sees the door and calls.
